Either way, as long as you're the original owner, you still might be able to sort things out. It's also possible that EA made a mistake with a particular code. If you enter the codes but EA/Origin says they've already been used, you might have registered them to another account. How to find them will differ between PC and mac:
Since you installed the packs on a previous computer, the codes should also be somewhere in the registry as long as you haven't cleaned it out. You mean that some of your packs aren't showing up in Origin? If you still have the codes from the inserts in the disc cases, you can register them to your account now, either within Origin or the Sims 3 store site.
